Most clients come to me after experiencing unhealthy romantic relationships that left them feeling disconnected from who they are and filled with self-doubt. I also work with people who have strained relationships with their parents and want to heal old wounds so they can step into the version of themselves they’ve always wanted to be.
In our work together, I provide education on how your past experiences have shaped the way you see yourself and how you navigate relationships. You’ll learn practical skills to manage anxiety and depression, as well as tools for handling emotions in a way that makes you feel proud. This includes learning to identify your feelings and express your needs in healthy, empowering ways. Together, we’ll also work toward the personal goals you set for yourself.
Many of my clients leave therapy feeling more confident, able to set boundaries without guilt, and more grounded in who they are. They often share that they handle stress with greater ease, experience improved relationships, and feel a deeper sense of peace. My goal is to create a space where you can truly know yourself and unapologetically build the life you are meant to live.
Experience:
Samantha is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from CSU, Fresno. Over the past decade, she has gained experience in a variety of settings, beginning her career as a social worker in San Luis Obispo, CA. During this time, she had the opportunity to work with teens who experienced complex trauma – an experience that sparked her passion for clinical work.
She later moved to the Bay Area, where she dedicated her career to therapy and began focusing on helping adults heal from childhood trauma. After five years in the Bay Area, Samantha followed her dream of relocating to San Diego, CA, where she is now based. She currently works with clients throughout California via telehealth.

Figuring out who you are and what you want can feel complicated when you’re surrounded by expectations from the people and world around you. You may find yourself questioning your decisions, putting pressure on yourself to get things right, or worrying about disappointing those closest to you. Maybe you struggle with anxiety, self-doubt, or feeling like you’re not good enough. You might also be navigating changes in friendships, relationships, school, work, or family and aren’t quite sure where you fit or what comes next.
In our work together, I provide a space away from all the outside noise so you can truly uncover what it is you desire for your life, while still honoring the cultural experiences that have shaped you. We can explore how your culture, family, relationships, and social expectations have shaped the way you see yourself and how you think your life should look. Together, we’ll work on understanding what you truly want while building skills to manage anxiety and stress, challenge perfectionism and self-doubt, and handle life changes with more ease.
My goal is to help you develop greater self-trust and confidence in your ability to make choices that feel authentic to you. In our work together, we can strengthen your boundaries, build healthier relationships, and develop clarity about who you are and what you want, so you can move through life with greater confidence and self-compassion.
